ACCOMMODATION

MEALS

Day 1

(PD, Motel) Fly to Hobart. On arrival we are met by our coach and transported to our Motel. Note: Flights arriving after 6pm will have picnic dinner provided in the room.

Day 2

(CB, MD, Motel) Hobart, a wonderful day touring the city, Salemenca, Mt Wellington (weather permitting), Battery Point, Botanical Gardens and an afternoon visit the MONA Gallery on the banks of the Derwent River Note: MONA Gallery included.

Day 3

(CB, MD, Motel) A whole day trip to Port Arthur to hear and see the dreadful history of Australia’s most infamous prison. Note: Entry to Port Arthur included.

Day 4

(CB, MD, Motel) A visit to a wildlife park to see the Tasmanian Devil, then onto the Cadbury Factory. The rest of the day is yours, simply relax or go into town. Note: Cadbury Factory and Wildlife Park included.

Day 5

(CB, MD, Motel) Off to the West Coast, via New Norfolk and very impressive Russell Falls and along the mountain roads to Lake St Clair then onto the spectacular bald hills of Queenstown. (The vegetation killed by acid rain emitted from the copper smelters of earlier times.)

Day 6

(CB, PL, MD, Motel) To Strahan for a wonderful cruise on the Gordon River, one of the most beautiful rivers in Australia. In the afternoon onto the old Mining Town of Zeehan, named after Able Tasman’s ship. Note: Boat cruise included.

Day 7

(CB, MD, Motel) Up the West Coast to Roseberry, beautiful Hellyer Gorge and on the North Coast to Stanley, a most unusual feature “The Nut” where there is a chairlift. Along the North Coast to Burnie and Devonport.

Day 8

(CB, MD, Motel) Over to the fabulous little town of Beaconsfield then south along the Tamar River to Launceston taking in the unique “Swiss Village” on the way. We tour Launceston and Cataract Gorge.

Day 9

(CB, MD, Motel) Via the Tasman Highway to Scottsdale and the old tin mining town of Derby. Then on to the East Coast and the towns of St. Helens and St Marys. Later a visit to Perth and back to Launceston.

Day 10

(CB) We continue to explore the City of Launceston on the stunning Tamar River In the afternoon fly home having fallen in love with Tasmania.
