3 Day Boyup Brook Country Music Festival

Day 1

(Motel) Departing Perth we have morning tea on the Leschenault Inlet before heading down South Western Highway and into Donnybrook for Lunch. Settle into Nelsons of Bridgetown Motel in Bridgetown. Around 5pm we head over to Boyup Brook for the first concert of the weekend. Friday night hosts the West Australian Country Music Awards with a range of artists and bands recognized for their outstanding year. Returning to Bridgetown around 9:30pm.

Day 2

(FB, Motel) Bit of a sleep in, heading back to Boyup Brook at 9:30am, there are street markets and stalls throughout the town. Saturday starts with the Ute and Truck Muster and Street Parade with the vehicles on display after the parade. This is a great time to wander this beautiful town and meet the locals. At noon the Music Shell starts up again and the Country Music flows into the balmy night. Returning to Bridgetown around 9:30pm.

Day 3

(FB) Sunday morning brings the Bush Poets to the stage, enjoy the morning under the Eucalyptus on the banks of the Blackwood River listening to some of Australia’s best Bush Poets and their yarns about the country and the characters. On the way back to Perth we visit Harvey Dickson’s Country Music Centre to see their amazing collection of memorabilia, a great way to see out the festival.
