Day 1

(MD, Motel) Take a trip via rolling farmlands to historic York, then to the Wheatbelt town of Quairading for morning tea. On to Corrigin, Kondinin, Hyden Rock, better known as “Wave Rock”. Visit Hippo’s Yawn, the Wave itself, climb to the top and generally explore this interesting natural wonder. Optional visit to the Lace Museum, Soldier Display or Wildlife Park.  Overnight in Hyden. Note: Including entry to Wave Rock.

Day 2

(FB, RD, Motel) Heading South of Hyden in the Shire of Lake Grace we travel along a chains of lakes to Lake King, stopping a number of times to look for Sundews, Hakea, Leptospermum, Chamelaucium, Synaphea and Acacia. Through Ravensthorpe to reach the Southern Ocean and settle into Hopetoun for two nights.

Day 3

(FB, RD, Motel) Another rich trove of WA Wildflowers, we visit Mount Desmond in search of Qualup Bell, Banksias and other rare beauties. Into Ravensthorpe for lunch and a visit to the florally painted grain silos, before exploring what the Fitzgerald River National Park has to offer. In this Biodiversity Hotspot we are on the lookout for Royal Hakea and Barreas Regelia.

Day 4

(FB, MD, Motel) Out to the West on the South Coast Highway through Jerramumgup and into the Stirling Range National Park where we will again encounter more unquie and diverse plants seen no where else in the world; Albany Swamp Dasies, Stirling Range Cone Flowers and Darwinia. Into Albany for our last night of the tour.

Day 5

(FB) Out to the Torndirrup National Park to hunt around in the coastal heathlands. Then its up to the Porongurup National Park for yet another range of plants and flowers before returning to Perth via Albany Highway.
