ACCOMMODATION

MEALS

Day 1

(MD, Motel) Fly into Adelaide where we are met by our coach and taken to our motel to settle in for our first night’s dinner.

Day 2

(CB, RD, Motel) We spend the whole day in the City of Adelaide. With options to visit the South Australian Museum, Art Gallery and Zoo. Not to forget the Rundle St Mall. In the evening we have dinner at a local restaurant. Note: Entry to Museum and Art Gallery free and Entry to Zoo included.

Day 3

(CB, MD, Motel) Leaving Adelaide we visit Hahndorf nestled in the hills. From here we cross the Murray River and hug the edge of The Coorong National Park, this long thin 130km park is home to massive flocks of birds that have travelled here from as far away as Siberia and Alaska. Overnight in Robe on Guichen Bay.

Day 4

(CB, MD, Motel) Following the coast through broad acre farms and peaceful bays we reach Mount Gambier and a visit to one of the countries most interesting natural/cultivated gardens, the Umpherston Sinkhole Cave Garden. After Lunch we head up to view Mt Gambier’s Volcanic Blue Lake, a striking coloured deep lake in an ancient volcano. Through Portland to Warrnambool.

Day 5

(CB, MD, Motel) Recognised as one of the world’s most scenic drives, the Great Ocean Road follows the stunning coastline of Victoria’s southwest. Stretching 243 kilometers the road winds along cliff tops, up to breath taking headlands, down onto the edge of beaches, across river estuaries and through lush rainforests offering panoramic views of Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean at every turn.

Day 6

(CB, MD, Motel) Finishing off the Great Ocean Road we spend some time around Lorne, Bells Beach and the beautiful coastal village of Torquay before reaching our base in Melbourne.

Day 7

(CB, MD, Motel) A full day in Melbourne, after touring the busy city streets we spend some time in the Botanical Gardens including the Guilfoyle’s Volcano, a spectacular and historic water reservoir with commanding views of the city. Meandering through the Shrine of Remembrance and past the Kings Domain to the National Gallery of Victoria and Melbourne Arts Centre. Note: Gallery and Arts Centre included.

Day 8

(CB, RD, Motel) From Melbourne we head down the Nepean Highway and onto the Mornington Peninsula to Sorrento. From here we board a ferry across the mouth of Port Phillip Bay to Queenscliff. In the afternoon we explore Geelong with time to enjoy dinner on the Geelong Wharf with views of Eastern Beach. Note: Ferry Crossing included.

Day 9

(CB, Motel) The Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show is set to inspire with breath taking floral displays and spectacular Show Gardens. Visitors to the show will also experience masterclasses with floral designers, meet key landscape designers, exhibitors and industry experts, as well as peruse the avenues of exhibitors selling everything from bulbs, plants, tools, trinkets and garden accessories. Note: Show entry included.

Day 10

(FB) Late check out with a free morning before flying home.
