Cape York Adventure

The land north of the Jardine River, the True Cape York, is a narrow peninsula with the Coral Sea to the east the Arafura sea and Gulf of Carpentaria to the west and the Torres Strait to the north.

Only 80 miles south of Papua New Guinea the land is traditionally owned by the indigenous Australians of the area.

Cape York is rich in untamed wilderness and spectacular natural scenery. Explore red outback roads, wetlands, gold town ruins and ancient rock art. The region is renowned as the site of the world’s largest body of prehistoric rock art and is rates by UNESCO in the top 10 rare rock art sites in the world.

Some tour highlights include:

  • Daintree River Cruise, enjoy the tropical Daintree and see wildlife including crocodiles, birds, frogs, snakes, butterflies and insects.
  • Spending 3 nights camping beachside at Seisia, this white sand beach with emerald blue waters is picturesque and tranquil.
  • Thursday Island tour, including the WWII tunnels and emplacements.
